WMKK “Text For Text Books” Contest
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
Valid December 17, 2007 – January 16, 2008

Who Can Enter
1. To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be legal residents of Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont or Rhode Island and be 18 years or older as of December 19, 2007.
2. Employees (fulltime, parttime and temporary) of Entercom Boston, LLC, Entercom Providence, LLC, and Entercom Springfield, LLC and their respective radio stations (collectively, “Station”), Lesley University and its members, or of any other sponsors participating in this contest, and all of their respective affiliated companies, advertising or promotional agencies (collectively with Station, “Sponsors”) and the immediate family and household members of each are ineligible to participate in this contest (i.e., spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, co-habitating partners, roommates, and siblings).
3. Sponsors may require proof of age, identification, residency and/or social security number prior to delivering any prize.
4. Persons who have won another contest or promotion of any kind from Station within 30 calendar days before the start date of this contest are not eligible to win or participate in this contest.
How to Enter
5. No purchase is necessary to enter.
6. To enter, (a) from December 17, 2007 at 7am through January 16, 2008 at 4pm, send a text message to the Station at number 42540 that includes your telephone number and the codeword “LU,” and (b) you must be present at the Grand Prize Event with the cell phone used to enter this contest as described below in the “How to Win” section. Text messages will only be eligible to enter this contest if all of the information requested, including the “LU” codeword is included. Text entries received will receive a text message back from the Station within 1 business day that will confirm the drawing location date and time. YOU MUST BE PRESENT AT THE GRAND PRIZE EVENT IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO WIN THE GRAND PRIZE. Entrants acknowledge that text messages are distributed via third party mobile network providers and, therefore, Station cannot control certain factors relating to message delivery. Entrants acknowledge that, depending on the recipient’s mobile provider service, it may not be possible to transmit or receive a message to the recipient successfully. Station does not claim or guarantee availability or performance of this service, including liability for transmission delays or message failures. Station does not charge a fee for this service. It is each entrant’s responsibility to check with their individual telephone carrier, as other charges may apply. Station assumes no responsibility for charges incurred for text-messaging.
7. Each person and texting cell phone number may only enter this contest once per day.
8. Incomplete entries may be invalidated in Station’s sole discretion. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an entrant, the owner of the cell phone number will be deemed the person who submitted the entry. The holder of the cell phone number is the natural person who is assigned the telephone number by a telephone company. Entrants are required to provide truthful information. If Station determines that any entry is submitted by a person other than the one who entered or by an ineligible entrant, such entry will be disqualified and that entrant will be prohibited from participating in this contest.
9. Use of robotic, automatic, programmed or similar entry modes is prohibited and will be void.
10. Entries that are mailed, faxed, called in, emailed or delivered by hand are not eligible to enter.
11. Station is not responsible for any telephone or text message calls that are misdirected, lost, stolen, disconnected, not received, or are illegible. The Station is not responsible for any telephone transmission errors.
12. All entries become the property of the Station and will not be acknowledged or returned.
How to Win
13. IN ORDER TO BE INCLUDED IN THE GRAND PRIZE DRAWING, ALL PARTICIPATING ENTRANTS MUST BE PRESENT AND REGISTERED WITH WMKK AT LESLEY UNIVERSITY (Porter Square – Cambridge MA) ON JANUARY 16, 2008 FROM 4:30PM UNTIL APPROXIMATELY 6:30PM. FAILURE OF A QUALIFIER TO BE PRESENT AND TIMELY REGISTERED WITH WMKK STAFF BY 4:30 PM WILL RESULT IN AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE GRAND PRIZE DRAWING. Qualifiers will be required during this Grand Prize event to attend Lesley University’s Open House where people can learn about graduate and adult bachelor degrees (sales presentation). ENTRANTS MUST BRING THE CELL PHONE THEY USED TO ENTER THIS CONTEST AND VALID A VALID GOVERNMENT ISSUED PHOTO ID (PASSPORT, DRIVER’S LICENSE, ETC…). WMKK will conduct the Grand Prize Drawing on January 16, 2008 at approximately 6:30 p.m. at the Grand Prize event at Lesley University. WMKK will randomly select one (1) Grand Prize Winner at that time, subject to verification of eligibility, from all entrants who are present and timely registered as the Grand Prize winner and who have brought the cell phone they used to enter the contest.
14. If any person selected as a winner does not meet the eligibility criteria or does not respond to contact from the Station or does not come to Lesley University’s Open House on or before 4:30pm on January 16, 2008 to complete all required Station forms, that winner will be disqualified and a substitute winner may be selected, at WMKK’s sole discretion.
15. All prize claims are subject to verification of the claimant’s identification as the actual person named on the selected entry, eligibility, and compliance with these contest rules. WMKK will verify the actual intended winner by checking appropriate personal identification such as driver’s license, or other state or federal identification acceptable to Station. Obtaining the verification information of the correct winner will initially be conducted by telephone or in person by verifying their name, address, telephone number and/or email address. The winner may be required to show picture identification to claim the prize and to evidence proof of age, identification, and/or residency. Sponsors reserve the right to require and examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented.
16. Winners may be required to sign a “Winner Release” releasing Sponsor from any liability with respect to this contest and/or a Winner’s Receipt that they must complete in order to receive the prize. Failure to timely execute any required release or receipt may result in disqualification and forfeiture of any award.
Prizes
17. One (1) Prize will be awarded in this contest. The winner will receive: one (1) $500 gift card to a local bookstore. The gift card will be subject to certain restrictions and expiration date as set forth on the gift card.
18. The Grand Prize winner must provide their name, address, phone number, social security number and a photograph of a valid driver’s license. Grand Prize Winner shall be solely responsible for any federal, state or local taxes. Grand Prize Winner may receive an IRS Form 1099 and such prize may be reported to the Internal Revenue Service for the 2008 tax year for the fair market value of the prize ($500.00). Winner will be required to complete all relevant documents.
19. The Grand Prize winner of this contest will be ineligible to enter any Station contest for thirty days thereafter.
20. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for prizes except at the sole discretion of Sponsors. Sponsors maintain the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. No transfer or assignment of the prize is allowed.
21. Station will only be required to send one text message to the number provided in the entry text message. If such text message is not received for any reason, Station will not be obligated to attempt any further contact. However, Station reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to attempt to contact any entrant more than once and shall not be required to attempt to contact all winners an equal number of times or in the same manner/mode.
22. All prizes awarded must be picked up at the Station’s studios at 20 Guest Street, Boston, MA 02135 during normal business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Prizes will not be mailed, unless otherwise determined by the Station. Prizes not claimed by the required deadline shall be considered forfeited and will become property of Station. Such prize may be disposed of at the discretion of Station Management.
Odds of Winning
23. The odds of winning depends on the number of entries received.
Other Rules
24. Sponsors are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize (as long as such Sponsor is not the ultimate provider of the prize). Sponsors accept no responsibility or liability, and by participating in this contest all entrants hereby release Sponsors from any responsibility or liability, in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from (a) participation in the contest, (b) the acceptance, possession and/or use of any prize awarded hereunder and/or (c) any other issues that may arise due to or arising from this contest.
25. By participating in this contest, each participant grants the Station, and Sponsors permission to use their name, likeness, biographic information, photograph and voice for advertising and/or promotion purposes without notice or additional compensation (except where prohibited by law) and agrees, without additional compensation, to appear for any presentation or other activity which may include filming/audio/video/electronic or other recordings and/or interviews, as may be determined from time to time by the Sponsors.
26. Station and Sponsors are not responsible for replacing or reimbursing any entrants with any form of compensation for cancellations. All cancellations are deemed beyond the control of Station and Sponsor. This includes, but is not limited to, event cancellations, delays and postponements of any form and duration due to acts of nature, war, weather, terrorism threat or act, or any other reason. Station is not responsible for any expenses incurred by entrants as a result of such cancellations or rescheduled events. Station reserves the right to reschedule the Grand Prize Event in the event of any act of God, terrorist threat or attack, war, cancellation of the Open House, weather conditions or any other reason beyond the reasonable control of Station. In such event, Station will use reasonable efforts to notify entrants of such rescheduled event but entrants shall be required to listen on-air to WMKK and check-in on online at www.937mikefm.com for the latest information about the event (including postponements) and any re-scheduled grand prize event.
27. Station shall be the sole arbiters in all matters relating to the contest and the interpretation of the contest rules. Station reserves the right to change, alter or modify these rules at any time with or without written notice. The station reserves the right to end or stop any contest at any time and for any reason.
28. Entry into this contest constitutes agreement by contestant to abide by these rules.
29. Winner lists will be available after January 20, 2008 through February 15, 2008 by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Station address Attention: WMKK “Text For Text Books” Winner List. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, local and municipal laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
30. Entry into this contest constitutes acceptance of and agreement by participants to abide by these entire contest rules.
